Each year brings moments where we pause and consider what feels true to our brand and to the families who welcome our pieces into their lives. This year, again, we felt that joining Black Friday does not align with the direction we are growing toward. Many wonderful brands embrace this event, and we genuinely respect their choices. For us, however, Black Friday sits a little apart from the atmosphere we hope to create around our collections. We’d love to gently share why.

A glimpse behind our design process
Every season begins with a table full of fabrics, color cards, sketches, and tiny details that eventually transforms into a harmonious collection. Creating a single style is a long, tender process that takes many months. It begins with choosing the mood for a new season: what we want to tell, the colors that belong to it, the fabrics that feel right. From there, we refine every element; trims, buttons, comfort, movement, making sure everything harmonizes as one rounded collection. We wait for lab dips, adjust shades, perfect fit, test with kids, and keep shaping until every piece feels honest, soft, and magical. Only after all those steps come sampling, photoshoots, buying season, and finally production. By the time a piece reaches your hands, it has lived a whole year with us. While creating, we picture siblings matching in tones, small hands holding each other, and moments being remembered through what they wore. This tenderness doesn’t blend easily with urgency or pressure. We prefer a calm, warm experience for the families who choose us.
We want our pricing to reflect the care, time, and intention behind every piece. Sudden, high-impact discounts over one weekend do not feel in harmony with how we wish to honour our work, or your trust. Keeping our value sincere and stable feels truer to us.

We want to protect the atmosphere of our brand
LRDM petits holds a feeling that is soft, timeless, and delicately romantic. Families come to us to create moments: celebrations, family photos, cosy days, memories that linger. That quiet magic guides everything we do. Saying no to Black Friday is simply a way of protecting that feeling.
With Gratitude in This Season of Thanks
As we enter a time of reflection and closeness, our hearts feel full. Thank you for embracing our world, for dressing your children in our pieces, for every message, every photo, every moment you share with us. Your support allows us to keep creating with love and intention. Believe us, there is so much magic coming. We wish you a holiday season filled with warmth, tenderness, and memories that stay close to your heart.
With love, Valéry & Floor
