We get this question often, and we completely understand, we do the same when shopping for our own children. Finding the perfect size can sometimes feel like a little mystery. At LRDM petits, we pour so much love into creating pieces that not only look beautiful but also fit just right, because comfort, movement, and softness are everything when it comes to children’s clothing.
Our sizes currently range from 2/3 to 14/16, and (psst…) something very special is coming soon for the tiniest little ones.
Behind the Scenes: How we make it fit perfectly
Each new LRDM petits collection begins with a dream, a moodboard full of colours, textures, and feelings that capture what we want the season to express. We browse through our Pantone books, carefully selecting shades that harmonise beautifully together, and then Floor begins designing every piece, making sure each style connects gracefully.
From there, we bring each design to life, creating prototypes, dyeing fabrics to our exact colours, and, our favourite part, fitting them on our own children. We measure every single detail ourselves: shoulder to shoulder, sleeve openings, the height of a ruffle, the exact length of a skirt and all the rest. Once everything feels perfect, we move into grading, a detailed process where we adjust and calculate every size so that each piece fits beautifully, whether it’s a tiny 2/3 or a grown 14/16. It’s like creating a small version and a bigger version of the same garment, while keeping every proportion and every little detail in balance. It takes time and precision, but it ensures that our pieces stay true to size and comfortable in every fit.
That’s why our clothing tends to fit so well, because we measure, test, and perfect every garment on our own children, for real comfort.
A thoughtful touch in every layer
When we design, we also think about layering. If a gilet is meant to be worn over a blouse, we make sure it fits gracefully over it. The shapes and fabrics are made to complement one another, so your little one can layer freely while feeling comfortable and free to play, dance, and move.

We’re always evolving and aim to guide you even better through sizing, with even clearer size charts, model heights, and perhaps, in the future, short fit notes or videos that show how a piece moves and feels when worn. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to choose the right size with confidence.
